Not the Greatest Start
Today was the first day of qualifications for the Indy 500. It didn't start out the greatest for Dan Wheldon, but it's far from over yet! In 2005, Wheldon won the Indy 500 after starting in 16th position. Because of his crash today, he missed the opportunity to qualify for positions 1-11. Tomorrow he will have a chance to earn the 12th position in the lineup.

Man, I know!! What a huge bummer for Dan, but how fortunate he wasn't injured!! Although I'm sure he was feeling another type of pain not being able to get a 1-11 position!! But tomorrow IS a new day!

Sorry to see that for Dan but My boy TK (Tony Kanaan) was able to make 8th so you can help me cheer for that if you want!

Mitch, apparently you didn't read the post. Dan won in 2005 starting in 16th. This year he is starting in 15th so I still am confident that he is going to pull it off! There will be no TK rooting coming from me. It just wouldn't be right. May the best man win :-)
